Global Rates - USD Trading Desk - Associate or Vice President
As an Associate or Vice President on the USD Trading Desk in EMEA, you will work alongside experienced traders to provide liquidity and manage risk across USD Interest Rate products, including medium-term interest rate swaps, STIRT, basis, and UST Government bonds. The USD Trading desk in EMEA provides liquidity to clients across USD Interest Rate products, including medium-term interest rate swaps, STIRT, basis, UST Government bonds, and the associated risk management responsibilities that this activity creates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work alongside experienced USD traders to make markets and manage risk across the EMEA USD franchise.
- Develop a strong analytical understanding of securities and interest rate pricing.
- Work closely with Sales to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with operations, technology, and finance teams to progress the business while being mindful of the control agenda.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Extensive experience in trading with strong analytical skills and a positive approach to work & proven track record.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to react quickly to changing market environments, including market-making experience.
- Strong approach to control environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good Excel/Python skills.
- Works well within a team.
- Interest in markets and macro trends.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in USD interest rate products and associated risk management.
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in trading.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
