JPMorgan's Futures Execution & Derivatives Clearing Legal team is looking for a motivated Trusted Advisor to draft, negotiate, and track Futures & Options and Cleared OTC Derivatives agreements. The role sits within the Markets Legal Practice in EMEA supporting the EMEA Futures Execution & Derivatives Clearing Business ("F&DC Business").
As a Global Clearing Lawyer - Assistant Vice President within the Futures Execution & Derivatives Clearing Legal team, you will be responsible for handling negotiations of trading documentation (including but not limited to Futures & Options Agreement, Execution Agreements, OTC Clearing Addendums, FXPB Agreements, CDEA) and for resolving issues raised by Clients and the F&DC Business that relate to legal agreements. You will be involved in frequent interaction with, Sales, Transition, Client Account Management, Credit Risk, Operations and Legal internally, and with the clients and clients' legal advisors externally.

Job responsibilities
- Drafting and finalizing business specific agreements with Dealers and Clients
- Coordinating senior internal approvals;
- Interpreting, explaining and negotiating legal agreements to Clients and Executing Brokers;
- Strategize with Business on best way to manage changes to product development, risk or operational processes and help draft language for such changes.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Must be qualified solicitors (Commonwealth or NY Law Attorneys also considered) with relevant PQE.
- Prior experience in financial markets and trading/broking legal work;
- Excellent understanding of the commercial, legal and regulatory environment in which the J.P.Morgan's Global Clearing business operates;
- Strong intellectual and legal skills;
- strong interpersonal/communication skills;
- Excellent drafting, written and oral communication skills;
- Commercial and practical outlook, ability to handle a number of matters and to prioritise and re-prioritise in a pressurised commercial environment.
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- prior Futures & Options and OTC Clearing experience highly desirable.
