Global Banking Deal Services - Vice President

As a Vice President within the Global Banking Deal Services team at J.P. Morgan in Sao Paulo, you will the lead the LatAm team, collaborating with industry, product, and country banking teams to support client relationship management activities and the execution of deals across debt, equity, and mergers and acquisitions. This role involves overseeing all aspects of strategy, daily execution, capacity and demand management, data strategy, and key performance indicators (KPIs). You will ensure seamless end-to-end workflow between the team and relevant partners, delivering world-class stakeholder engagement and data transparency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the regional team's strategy by aligning goals with business priorities and the global target model.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships with Coverage, Product bankers, and other key stakeholders in the region.
  • Address client and stakeholder needs while balancing the firm's interests, using market knowledge to foster valuable discussions and a strong control environment.
  • Create a strong employee engagement culture, promote inclusivity, professional development and high performance, using data to drive the attainment of goals and standards.
  • Monitor the deal pipeline to identify and address opportunities and urgencies, preventing controls issues.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point to resolve roadblocks.
  • Collaborate with compliance, legal, credit, finance, and other partners on client requests and deal execution requirements.
  • Streamline processes to reduce administrative work and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with the business to enhance services, systems, and procedures, planning for long-term growth.
  • Manage the implementation of new processes and innovations to improve quality and outcomes in collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience and deep knowledge of investment and corporate banking products, including mergers and acquisitions, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Loans, Trade, and Working Capital.
  • Exceptional senior stakeholder management skills, with experience in presenting to and engaging with clients and senior executives.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, successfully building, leading, and managing medium operational teams (5+ reports).
  • Excellent presentation skills, with proven expertise in using PowerPoint, PitchPro, and other presentation tools.
  • Proven ability to drive large-scale change and transformation programs and initiatives.
  • Evidence-based approach to problem-solving, optimizing products and services to add value.
  • Proactive and adept at resolving issues, with a curious and problem-solving mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing operations or enablement functions for a growing, diverse, and transformative business.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • A background in relationship management, sales, or deal execution is advantageous.
  • Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Background in Alteryx, R, Power BI, Tableau, and other data management/visualization platforms and systems.
