DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Understand different financial instruments including equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives, their accounting processing and define the user acceptance testing scope for financial instruments and accounting processes. Perform test execution and change validation per test matrices for financial instruments. Lead the Test & defect management process with stakeholders, business users, technology team, and Product Development team. Review deviations from requirements and perform root cause analysis to ensure corrective actions. Leverage knowledge of financial instruments and accounting processes review business requirements, prepare test matrices, and analyze and highlight key testing blockers to plan workarounds and mitigation strategies through the phases of the testing life cycle. Assess business requirements for financial instrument processes for completeness, coverage, accuracy, and testability. Collaborate with clients and third parties in joint user acceptance testing of financial instrument and accounting processes by discussing and reviewing client requirements and preparing traceability metrics. Review test cases and scenarios with clients and third parties, including interlocking test plans, timelines, and reference data. Perform end-to-end validation of client trades to verify the financial instrument processes performed as expected, generate client reporting, and share with client for feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Fund Servicing, Fund Accounting Specialist, Transaction Processing Manager, Financial Officer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Fund Servicing, Fund Accounting Specialist, Transaction Processing Manager, Financial Officer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Fund services user acceptance testing and test management with securities trade processing, fixed income operations, foreign exchange markets, or derivatives covering Middle Office functions; working with matching, confirmation, and settlements for financial instruments; generating investment books of records to provide portfolio gross asset value; testing financial instruments or accounting processes with tools such as Jira; Application lifecycle management; Swift messaging; Financial instruments XML message format; simulating use cases and executing trades for the testing environment; preparing test cases according to functional changes to validate system changes; preparing a traceability matrix, creating scenarios based on business requirements, and documenting the changes; identifying root causes of bugs and issues in financial instrument user acceptance testing; documenting root cause analysis in Jira and reviewing with business users to enable testing approval.
