Final Pay Operations Associate

As a Final Pay Operations Analyst, within our team, you will play a key role in ensuring termination payments are processed accurately and on time. You will collaborate with Payroll, HR, and other internal teams to support the end-to-end final pay process, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement. This role is based in Columbus, Ohio, and offers opportunities to grow your skills in payroll operations and technology.
Job Responsibilities
- Process termination payments accurately and in compliance with company policies and state regulations.
- Review and validate data for terminated employees to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, and other internal teams to resolve issues and support the final pay process.
- Respond to inquiries related to termination payments and provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate final pay processes.
- Support the implementation of new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of standard operating procedures.
- Utilize payroll systems, including Oracle HCM Cloud, to process and track termination payments.
- Assist with system testing and configuration changes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, state labor laws, and data privacy requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and support audit requests as needed.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Have 1+ years of experience in payroll, HR operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Show an automation mindset with a desire to improve processes and leverage technology.
- Possess experience with payroll systems.
- Exhibit good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Collaborate as a team player with a proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Experience supporting process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Ability to document processes and support system changes.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
