As an Experience Design Vice President in Collections, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our products and services. Leveraging your deep knowledge of design and research practices, you will lead strategically important initiatives and develop innovative solutions that align with business requirements and user needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide and mentor junior designers, and foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility. Your expertise in experience strategy and inclusive design will ensure that our offerings are visually appealing, accessible, and user-friendly, enhancing the overall customer experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas.
  • Diagram service flows and product features, design wireframes, and prototype interactions for key touchpoints.
  • Deliver high-fidelity prototypes, ensure accurate implementation with developers, and create design documentation for the development phase.
  • Role-model the adoption of inclusive design practices and accessibility guidelines, mentoring junior designers and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams to integrate user experience design into product development processes.
  • Analyze market trends, gather feedback from user research, and learn from data insights to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in user experience design or similar roles.
  • Ability to create visual representations of user journeys, such as storyboarding, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Proficiency in design tools to create detailed and interactive high-fidelity prototypes, combined with a strong understanding of front-end development processes and technologies to ensure designs are feasible and accurately implemented.
  • Experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines, incorporating diverse perspectives into design solutions.
  • Proven ability to develop experiences that meet or exceed initial proposals, including transformational innovation strategies.
  • Advanced technical literacy, understanding client-side technologies, APIs, microservices, and their impact on user experience.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical work experience in Design.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products.
  • Experience in managing and growing designers, with strong team collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire high-quality UI through creative direction, hands-on collaboration, and a strong sense of craft.
