As an Executive Director, Product Director within the Card Authorization team, you will lead efforts to promote innovation and modernization across our platform capabilities. You will collaborate with talented professionals to deliver groundbreaking solutions, with a focus on transaction message routing and production parallel processes. Your role will involve uplifting existing platforms and creating new capabilities to enhance resiliency, code quality, and availability. Additionally, you will explore opportunities to simplify customer experiences while maintaining strong risk practices, shaping the future of our technology landscape.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan, maintaining and executing on our roadmap for message routing and production parallel validation.
  • Oversee the development and execution of modernization efforts, focusing on architecture and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities for growth and fraud loss reductions, including leveraging modern architecture concepts such as microservices and cloud-native solutions.
  • Launch new capabilities to support modernization and improve resiliency, ensuring seamless transaction processing and compliance with payment network partners.
  • Drive modernization efforts in collaboration with other product organizations, focusing on business architecture and capabilities mapping.
  • Leverage technical expertise and product knowledge to effectively translate business requirements into innovative technology solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and enhancing product value.
  • Coach analysts and technologists on best practices for research, analysis, and requirements development.
  • Support teams in navigating organizational roadblocks and fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a combination of product, technology architecture, business architecture, or data architecture, with a proven track record of successfully leading teams and delivering high-impact solutions.
  • Deep technical understanding of modern architecture concepts, including microservices, cloud-native solutions, and data architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into simplified deliverables.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and architecture management tools.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with business architecture and capabilities mapping, with a focus on aligning technology solutions with business goals.
  • Experience with technology architecture
