ESG Finance Product Owner - Vice President

As a Vice President in the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture (FFBA) ESG team, you will work alongside project management, ESG controllers, corporate technology, financial control, and other FFBA program management teams to deliver the ESG Controller Reporting Data and Technology Transformation. Each day, you will leverage your expertise to lead and execute large-scale transformation initiatives within a high-performing team of project and data management professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and maintenance of the quarterly product roadmap inclusive of functional and non-functional deliverables with input from ESG Controllers and Corporate Technology
- Drive quarterly Book of Work (BoW) planning efforts with various members of the program team to brainstorm and agree the BoW, as well as creation / orchestration of JIRA cards
- Organise the program team to drive orderly sprint prioritisation on a consistent basis in response to agreed quarterly planning deliverables
- Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Data Requirements Documents and Data Model Documentation which will contribute towards ensuring data is fit for consumption
- Lead requirement creation for data onboarding and ESG ETL / reporting logic, as well as schedule and coordinate the implementation of new data models in strategic cloud architecture.
- Deliver updates in various project governance forums to contribute towards status reporting for various program deliverables, including the preparation of high-quality materials.
- Lead a small team of resources, as well as provide leadership in a matrix environment across the FFBA ESG team and ESG program stakeholders.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with desire to submerge into the detail of a topic, issue, or deliverable to understand the underlying concept.
- Deep experience in driving and adhering agile principles and frameworks
- Experience in providing data solutions or experience in data analysis
- Self-starter; proven ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment.
- Able to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.
- Ability to lead across departments and geographies and with implementing organizational change; strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 10+ years of program and/or product owner experience required, with particular focus in Finance and/or Data space is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Finance/Accounting processes within Banking, with some awareness of controller reporting or ESG data / regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools, such as JIRA, Lucid, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- SQL, Cloud and Databricks experience
