As an Analyst in the Equity Research team, you will be part of a dynamic group focused on Equity Strategy. You will support the lead Equity Strategist by conducting in-depth analysis across various market areas, collaborating on cross-sector projects, and delivering high-quality research to our clients. Your role is crucial in helping us maintain our reputation for excellence in research.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a passion for markets, particularly equities, with a focus on Equity Strategy.
  • Support the lead Equity Strategist by conducting in-depth analysis across different market areas, including fund manager positioning and style investing.
  • Contribute to thematic sector reports and collaborate on cross-sector projects with other teams.
  • Efficiently handle day-to-day client requests and needs.
  • Communicate your team's ideas persuasively to internal and external parties, tailoring communications to client needs.
  • Suggest new approaches or ideas to enhance your franchise as a business.
  • Understand and adhere to the firm's risk management policies and applicable legal and regulatory rules.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience with proven analytical skills, not limited to accounting and finance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a finance or related field.
  • Ability to independently arrange fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings.
  • Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of the fundamentals/drivers (competitive landscape, risks) of an industry or country and thoroughly understand drivers of relevant markets to explain and anticipate market movements.
  • Ability to synthesize disparate pieces of information and articulate a compelling thesis or argument clearly and cogently.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Strong preference for candidates with a finance or related background.
  • Demonstrates creativity in solving problems and always looks for new ways of doing things.
  • Ability to thrive under competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.
  • A CFA/CPA, or progress toward a CFA/CPA, is a plus.
