As an Analyst/ Associate in the Equity Research team, you will play a key role in the Healthcare and Biotech Team, leveraging models and data to deliver insightful reports and commentaries. You will track developments in domestic and international health systems, participate in marketing to institutional investors, and organize meetings with industry participants. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our reputation for excellence in research.

Job Responsibilities:
- Write reports covering company-specific events and health funding or regulatory changes.
- Liaise with and respond to client requests for information and insights.
- Organize calls and meetings with industry experts in Australia and overseas.
- Keep track of data sources that may yield insights into the sector.
- Conduct valuation, modeling, and financial analysis.
- Communicate the team's ideas persuasively to internal and external parties.
- Suggest new approaches or ideas to enhance your franchise as a business.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- At least 1-2 years of experience with proven analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a science and/or finance-related field.
- Ability to independently arrange channel-check meetings and trips.
- Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of the fundamentals/drivers (competitive landscape, risks) and thoroughly understand drivers of health businesses and anticipate market movements.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Preference for candidates with a science or medical background.
- Demonstrates creativity in solving problems and always looks for new ways of doing things.
- Ability to thrive under competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs.
- Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.
- A CFA/CPA, or progress toward a CFA/CPA, is a plus.
