The Legal Department is responsible for providing legal services to the Firm and is organized by practice groups that generally align with the Firm's lines of business and corporate staff areas. The EMEA Capital Markets Legal Team (the " Legal Team") provides advice and support to the Capital Markets businesses across EMEA. In order to support the business the Legal Team is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Paralegal to be based in London.
As an EMEA Capital Markets - Paralegal - Associate in the Legal department you will have the duties and functions that will require organization, attention to detail, drafting skills, confidentiality, sound decision-making, independent judgment and the ability to escalate serious or unique problems as appropriate.

Job responsibilities
- Review and negotiate a high volume of NDAs for the key businesses we support, namely Debt Capital Markets and Equity Capital Markets.
- Draft mandate letters and fee side letters based on precedents
- Review mandate letters received from other banks or clients
- Assist the Legal Team to update mandate letter precedents with the help of AI
- Assist with building and maintaining a library for knowledge management
- Set up and manage legal invoices in the Firm's electronic systems. Assist the Legal Team with invoice related questions
- Review and re-draft powers of attorney in relation to transactions in line with the Firm's policy requirements.
- Perform law firm related and internal coordination of execution of documents
- Review legal opinions and auditor arrangement Letters in relation to transactions across the Legal Team
- Review and negotiate additional transaction documents, including but not limited to, termination and amendment letters and disclaimers
- Engagement with internal legal teams and IT solutions; also deck creation through use of PitchPro / PowerPoint
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to issue-spot and quickly become familiar with the Firm's policy requirements for the various products
- Team player who can build networks and collaborate with the legal and business teams effectively and professionally at all levels
- Positive, common sense and constructive attitude. Flexible, willing and open to change
- High level of attention to detail and solution-orientated
