About the Buenos Aires Debt Capital Markets team:

The Buenos Aires Debt Capital Markets team is part of J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking business providing support to bankers across the globe. This team is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and reports directly into the firm's Global Debt Capital Market team based in New York (NY), providing support for both bond and loan transactions, preparing pitch books, financial updates, marketing and other support materials that senior client bankers provide to their clients during meetings and live transactions.

Candidates should have an interest in and elementary knowledge of global fixed income markets along with a strong work ethic. Excellent communication, attention to detail, proactivity and a self-motivated attitude will be critical to candidate success.

Job Responsibilities

Conducting industry and company research relevant to debt capital markets origination:
Gathering and maintaining statistics on issuers, industries and verticals, creating company profiles and case studies
Researching past transactions, compiling bondholder/lender lists, compiling current capitalization tables and financial
metrics, trading and transaction comparables
Maintaining and updating financial tools, comparable transaction sets, models and calculators (e.g. liability management,
NPV, interest expense calculations, liquidity comparisons, debt capacity calculations)
Obtaining pricing and market color from bond/loan syndicate desks
Maintaining and updating league tables and tombstones
The aforementioned activities may occur in connection with:
Preparation of pitch materials, roadshows and live transactions
Populating responses to an RFP (Request for a Proposal)
Assisting with compiling research materials and turning comments for internal presentations and memos

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor's Degree required
Strong financial background to support senior banker origination and execution of new issue fixed income instruments,
loans and liability management
Knowledge of macroeconomic principles
Beginner knowledge of global fixed income markets
Basic understanding of financial modeling, bond structures and derivatives
Microsoft Office experience including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required
Proactivity, self-motivation, team skills and positive attitude
