Debt Capital Markets Business Manager - Associate

Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Business Management provides strategic and operational thought leadership, analysis and project execution for the Global DCM business. The DCM Business Management team sits within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) function and serves as a trusted advisor and partner to the DCM business across finance and operations.

As an Associate on the DCM Business Management team, you will have the opportunity to learn about complex products and markets and gain experience across all of the DCM Business Management team's responsibilities, which include providing analytical support to the DCM and F&BM management teams, maintaining the DCM fee pipeline and forecast, submitting and reconciling external league table results to measure market share, forecasting and analyzing headcount and expenses, and supporting business initiatives through strategic analysis and presentation creation. You will be uniquely positioned to gain exposure to business leaders across the DCM business and support a team of bankers in several locations worldwide.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the pipeline and forecast for the DCM business
  • Prepare weekly reporting materials for DCM management
  • Identify and lead strategic analysis initiatives for the DCM business
  • Create materials for quarterly business reviews, town halls and management presentations
  • Perform competitive analysis across key performance metrics and manage external league table submissions
  • Support ad hoc projects for senior management in partnership with teams across the CIB and F&BM organization

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a desire to understand the big picture as well as the details of a product
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Interest in developing product knowledge, specifically in debt products
  • Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills
  • Driven to identify key areas of enhancement, with a focus on creating efficiencies, structure and controls
  • Must be strong in Excel and PowerPoint
