The position offers an opportunity to jump start a risk management career while getting well rounded exposure to all areas of Chase's businesses by addressing the broad, and ever-changing range of data management challenges faced by the firm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of data, processes, and human interactions to streamline workflows, reduce paperwork, and accelerate delivery times. This involves identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current processes and proposing solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Apply systems and network-thinking to identify, build, and test AI-enablers. This includes designing interconnected systems where algorithms optimize production by pinpointing inefficiencies. The goal is to enhance organizational efficiency and compliance by optimizing processes, managing data, and controlling quality.
- Refine workflows to maximize resource efficiency. This involves identifying tasks that can be automated, such as data collection, data entry, and report generation, to reduce human administration, minimize errors, and boost accuracy.
- Implement quality control and quality assurance measures into work activities and decisions. This ensures that all processes and outputs meet the required standards and are consistently monitored for improvement.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to identify, assess, and manage risks within the organization. This involves analyzing data to uncover potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate these risks, and continuously monitoring data to ensure effective risk management practices are in place.
- Review and refresh critical risk reporting data sets and information. This includes sourcing, reviewing, and publishing various data sets such as the IT Weakness/Severity matrix, CDO Issue/Action plan data set, CORE Trigger Tracker breaks, and Request for Information (RFI) data set. These activities involve tracking compliance with firm expectations and generating forward-looking analytics.
- Support the review of Firm wide Data Risk Metrics by becoming a trusted advisor and subject matter expert within the Chief Data Office (CDO) team. This involves sourcing, reviewing, and identifying data risk metrics for escalation in accordance with defined criteria, and maintaining an inventory of CCB-specific data risk metrics for annual reviews.
- Support the execution of the monthly CCB Data Management Council by becoming a trusted advisor and subject matter expert related to the Data Risk Policy - Firm wide, Data Risk Management Standard - Firm wide, and CCB supplemental documentation. Partner with Data Risk teams to produce timely risk management content for inclusion in the Data Management Council materials, such as Procedure Approval material, Data Risk Team Overview material, Data Owner Risk Overview material, and Standard Exception request material. Attend the monthly DMC meetings, document meeting minutes, and record key action items and decisions.

Required qualification, capabilities and skills:
- 2+ years experience in a Data Analytics, Data Governance, or Data Management role with 7+ years of total experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
- Strong verbal and written communications.
- Strong Project management skills.
- Ability to operate in fast paced, detail orientated organization.
- Excellent communicator able to convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner to senior executives.
- Influencer with great interpersonal skills that can achieve alignment across a range of different views and interests without formal authority.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technical concepts and frameworks.
- Experience working with, developing new, or modifying existing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to effectively identify risk within an organization.
- Experience across broad range of data visualization & business intelligence technologies (i.e. Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, Python
