As a Data Analyst - Information Reporting, Client Tax Associate within the Client Tax Operations team, you will utilize your expertise in intelligent automation to enhance information reporting support within Client Tax Operations. You will be instrumental in leading data-driven decision-making processes, ensuring adherence to tax regulations, and optimizing our tax operations through sophisticated data analytics. By leveraging intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx and Python, along with data visualization platforms like Tableau, you will enhance operational efficiency and strategic implementation. Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data analytics, automation, and visualization into tax operations seamlessly
- Provide data-driven insights to support tax planning, optimization initiatives, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
- Oversee the execution of daily reporting activities and manage relationships with product, technology, and corporate tax advisory teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance tax reporting and compliance
- Utilize intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx to streamline data workflows and enhance data processing efficiency
- Communicate complex data findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security
- Implement data quality controls and perform regular audits to maintain high standards of data quality
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools like Tableau
- Experience with intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx
- Advanced client service and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience working in a professional services firm or financial services firm
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques
- Knowledge of financial systems and products
- Knowledge of withholding and information reporting
- Innovative mindset, driven to continuously improve processes
- High-level knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with internal custody systems and custody product knowledge is a plus
