Credit Support Analyst

Job Summary:
As a Credit Monitoring Analyst within the Wholesale Lending Services team, you will be responsible for assessing compliance with credit agreement terms for an assigned portfolio of borrowers. You will interpret financial and other covenants included in credit agreements to determine whether borrowers are meeting the terms or are in default. This role offers the opportunity to work with syndicated loans and bilateral agreements, providing valuable insights into the credit compliance landscape.
Our team supports several lines of businesses, including Business Banking, Commercial Bank, Global Wealth Management, and Investment Bank. By joining us, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of secured lending products and develop expertise in assessing credit risk for various sectors, including real estate. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the integrity and success of our lending services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Determine whether borrowers have breached covenants, resulting in default on credit agreements.
- Interpret complex credit agreements and legal documents to identify necessary parties for compliance evaluation.
- Perform credit analysis, review documentation, and monitor compliance with financial covenants.
- Independently calculate cash flow, leverage ratios, and covenant values as per credit agreements.
- Develop strong knowledge of secured lending products, including borrowing base credit facilities.
- Determine grid-based performance pricing to ensure adequate compensation for credit risk.
- Adhere to quality control standards and service level agreements with internal business partners.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting.
- 3 or more years of experience in banking and/or financial analysis.
- Ability to identify and summarize key points in credit-related transactions.
- Understanding of loan products, including documentation for revolving lines of credit and term loans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate good time management.
- High proficiency in using MS Office tools, including MS Excel.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Desire to develop expertise in assessing credit risk of real estate developers and investors.
- Experience with opportunity and investment funds is a plus.
Required or Additional Information:
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Work schedules will be full-time in office, on a 40-hour per week schedule.
