Join JPMorgan Chase as a Wholesale Credit Review Officer and play a pivotal role in safeguarding the firm's financial integrity by ensuring the accuracy and compliance of risk ratings across global credit portfolios. As a key player in the credit management process, you'll leverage your expertise in credit analysis to independently assess risk, monitor industry trends, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of credit quality and regulatory compliance.
As a Credit Review Officer within the Credit Review Team, you will be responsible for planning and conducting periodic reviews of wholesale credit portfolios. You will examine a representative sample of portfolio clients in detail, reviewing internal credit approval memoranda, public financial disclosures, press releases, external rating agency opinions, and other relevant materials. Based on your analysis, you will develop independent assessments of the appropriate risk ratings for the reviewed clients and document your findings in a workpaper database. Your written analyses must be concise yet thorough, as they may be subject to review by external bank examiners. Between formal reviews, you will independently monitor credit trends in your assigned industry or geography-based wholesale portfolios, recording observations in monitoring journals. You will attend relevant Credit Risk-led portfolio review and problem credit review meetings, managing Credit Review's ongoing relationship with internal stakeholders responsible for credit approval, client credit management, and credit policy. Additionally, you will periodically interact with external bank examiners. A comprehensive understanding of credit analysis principles is essential, along with familiarity with risk characteristics and exposure metrics for various credit products, including traditional loan products, derivatives, and other trading instruments.
