As a Senior Associate in the Country Risk Reporting Team, you will be tasked with providing data and analytical reports on exposure and stress metrics to Country Risk Managers and Senior Management. Your role will support them in making informed decisions and managing risks effectively. You will interact with various teams, including Country Risk Management, Credit Risk Management, and Technology, to ensure comprehensive risk analysis and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data to produce Country Reports.
  • Understand data flows and remediate data issues between source systems and the Country Risk Infrastructure.
  • Analyze stress scenarios and calculations.
  • Interact with Country Risk Management, Credit Risk Management, and other teams.
  • Report weekly Country Risk to Senior Management.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis for EMEA and APAC regions.
  • Assist in crisis monitoring and ad-hoc data collection.
  • Contribute to the improvement and automation of reporting processes.
  • Innovate by challenging processes and seeking efficiencies. Provide input in working groups to enhance data aggregation and reporting procedures.
  • Assess and review data quality. Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and analyze issues.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Product Control, or Financial Reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Science, or Business-related area.
  • Understanding of financial products and cross-asset knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a control focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritise tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills; knowledge of data science, analytics platforms, and data visualisation tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop solid working relationships and work well in a team across multiple locations.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience with data science (e.g., Machine learning), analytics platforms (e.g., Alteryx), and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Proficiency in data analytics (e.g., Python).
  • Ability to influence change and address problems proactively with a control mindset.
