As a Corporate Governance Analyst in the Corporate Governance team, you will partner with senior members to support the Firm's Board of Directors and its committees. You will have the opportunity to engage with executive-level clients, prepare high-quality presentation materials and reporting for Directors, draft Board meeting minutes, and assist with addressing a variety of inquiries from across the firm and conducting various research. Job Responsibilities:
- Draft and review presentations and materials for the Board of Directors and its standing Committees.
- Assist senior members with drafting meeting minutes, responding to a variety of inquiries from across the firm, and preparing corporate secretary certificates.
- Assist with performing research, conducting due diligence, and reporting results.
- Research industry trends and analyze data related to corporate governance.
- Support senior attorneys on projects involving the Legal Department's priorities.
- Identify and implement ways to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and managing logistics.
- Manage documents and maintain electronic files with care and dedication to complete and accurate records.
- Proofread and format to ensure the quality of presentation materials and other work products.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional services role (e.g., business analyst, paralegal)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising good judgment.
- Attention to detail, proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented.
- Strong time management and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in corporate governance, including support for board meetings and corporate secretarial functions.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in the financial industry.
- Experience working with executive-level clients.
- Knowledge of best practices in corporate governance for public companies.
- Experience in project management or process improvement initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
