As a Compliance Sr. Associate and play a pivotal role in ensuring the bank's adherence to both local and international regulations. As a key member of the Compliance team, you will contribute to the responsible growth of the firm by anticipating new and emerging risks and applying your expert judgment to address real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. Job Responsibilities

  • Be instrumental in maintaining a robust risk and control environment across the organization.
  • Promote early identification, assessment, and mitigation of compliance risks.
  • Partner with various areas across the bank, including business, control managers, and functional support groups such as Operations, Audit, Technology, Finance, and Legal, to develop a consistent approach to risk management.
  • Execute the Compliance Program for the business and functions operating through the JPM Colombian legal entities, including risk identification, assessment, and regulatory oversight. Support the Head of Compliance Peru in the execution of the Country Program.
  • Oversee the business's compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and applicable policies, assessing risks to determine necessary actions.
  • Execute the Country Compliance Program, including activities required by local regulations and firmwide frameworks.
  • Manage effective relationships with regulators and handle regulatory inquiries and exams.
  • Analyze, challenge, assess, and monitor current and emerging compliance risks and applicable controls.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Line of Business (LOB), Operational Risk, Legal, Audit, Control and Risk Management, to ensure consistent understanding of requirements and related actions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in compliance or related areas (risk management, legal, audit, etc.) within the financial services industry.
  • Expertise in Cash Management and Payments related businesses is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong technical knowledge of local regulatory requirements in the financial industry. Expertise in liaising with regulators.
  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Technical skills in data analysis and emerging technologies are valuable
