We are looking for a dynamic Control Manager with exceptional attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and excellent communication skills. The Global Banking Program Governance (GBPG) team partners with first, second, and third line-of-defense functions to support GB business operation executives with efficiencies, strategies, and an end-to-end control framework to mitigate risk.

As a Control Manager in the GBPG team, you will support the GBPG leads in ensuring Global Banking maintains a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment. You will assist in identifying and escalating issues with urgency and collaborate with the Business to facilitate timely remediation. Your role will involve top-down assessments, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and management of governance deliverables to support Global Banking.
  • Conduct monitoring and collaborate with global and local stakeholders on metrics requiring escalation or resolution.
  • Serve as a point of contact for global and local stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing escalations to ensure stakeholders are informed of changes in scope, issues, and risks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Help assess changes across existing policies, standards, and processes to identify potential gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Communicate directives to program stakeholders.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and assist in preparing meeting materials and minutes.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience in the financial services industry with a background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, project management, or compliance.
  • Professional, self-motivated, and capable of delivering high-quality results both independently and in a team setting.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines across multiple assignments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings and interact across various organizational levels.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data.
  • Comfortable with change, ambiguity, debate, and conflict.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
