Job responsibilities:
- Cultivate a proactive risk and control culture using proven evaluation strategies and change management protocols.
- Gain a deep understanding of JPMorgan Chase' risk and control framework to challenge and enhance existing processes.
- Collaborate with team members and business control managers to conduct data-driven control reviews and deep dives into emerging risk areas.
- Partner with lines of business and functional control manager teams to identify high-risk areas and implement data-driven solutions.
- Regularly update management on the control environment, including preparing control reporting materials and ad hoc reports.
- Manage and participate in multiple project work-streams and initiatives focused on risk and controls.
- Perform data analysis and develop a robust MIS platform, driving initiatives to enhance controls.
- Apply critical thinking skills to perform advanced analytics and automation, solving complex business problems.
- Work independently and collaboratively within the team to achieve desired outcomes in analytical and automation projects.
- Contribute to the organization's continuous learning mindset by introducing new ideas and perspectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of control and risk management concepts, with the ability to design, create, and evaluate reviews.
- Proficient in data analytics for analyzing large datasets to derive insights and metrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and working knowledge of Alteryx and/or Tableau.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure, and a self-starter who drives change through innovation.
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities; able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to build relationships and leverage subject matter expertise to influence decisions.
- Exhibits sound judgment, maturity, and composure to recognize risks and escalate them as needed.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Knowledge of retail or wholesale banking processes, products, regulations, and risk.
- Certification in multiple tools such as Alteryx, UiPath, Tableau, and Python is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML is preferred.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in Controls, Operations, or Risk Management is beneficial.
