As a Compliance Surveillance Associate, Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) within the APAC Surveillance team, you will be a key individual contributor in providing surveillance coverage for trading activity in the APAC region. Your responsibilities will include reviewing surveillance alerts and escalating any activity that may indicate potential market manipulation or other impermissible trading behavior. You will collaborate with Line of Business Management and Line of Business Compliance stakeholders, as well as global and regional Surveillance teams to promote our global program and its objectives. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review surveillance alerts and analyze trading and market activity, focusing on Firmwide trading activity in FICC products to identify potential market manipulation or other impermissible trading behavior
  • Collaborate with Line of Business Management and Line of Business Compliance stakeholders to review and resolve escalated activity
  • Conduct reviews and analyses to support regulatory exams, inquiries and other internal requests
  • Support Surveillance and Technology stakeholders on new and enhanced surveillances, including defining requirements, conducting analysis and UAT testing, and implementing related processes and procedures

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in compliance surveillance, middle office, regulatory, or related financial industry roles
  • Relevant knowledge of FICC products
  • Knowledge of industry rules and regulations and market structure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively partner with key stakeholders and technology partners
  • Experience with surveillance tools such as Actimize, SMARTS, Bloomberg, etc. and data analysis/manipulation tools
