As a Compliance Risk Management Lead in the Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) - Connected Commerce & Corporate Development team, you will oversee compliance and risk management within the Corporate Development and Connected Commerce areas. This role is crucial in ensuring that our corporate development initiatives are compliant with regulatory requirements and align with the strategic objectives of Connected Commerce, which aims to deliver unmatched value and compelling end-to-end customer experiences.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance strategy for corporate development activities, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.


  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks associated with corporate development projects and other areas of Connected Commerce.


  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry trends affecting corporate development and payment solutions.


  • Collaborate with Connected Commerce, Corporate Development, and other CCB teams to integrate compliance considerations into business strategies.


  • Conduct compliance due diligence for potential acquisitions and partnerships.


  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to enhance awareness among employees.


  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management.


  • Coordinate with auditors to facilitate compliance audits and reviews of corporate development projects.


  • Implement corrective actions as necessary.


  • Develop risk management frameworks and conduct regular risk assessments.


  • Ensure timely updates to compliance policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

    • Minimum of 5 years of VP-level experience in compliance risk management within the financial services industry.
    • Strong knowledge of corporate development processes, payment systems, digital banking, and regulatory requirements.
    • Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance and risk management strategies.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Experience in conducting compliance audits and reviews.
    • Proficiency in compliance-related software and tools.
    • Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with industry partners.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field; advanced degree or certification.
    • Experience in B2B compliance strategies.
    • Familiarity with international regulatory requirements.
    • Knowledge of emerging payment technologies and trends.
    • Experience with compliance training program development.
    • Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
