Communications Associate

In the Communications Associate role, you'll work as part of the Internal Organization Communications (IOC) team to create content for internal clients, including graphics using Adobe Illustrator, presentations using PowerPoint and sites using a combination of SharePoint and HTML. The right candidate will have strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, the ability to work well with partners under pressure and desire to continue developing their skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Function as a lead contributor with advanced knowledge of area of specialization and significant exposure to broad department activities
  • Work with internal clients to gather information and provide solutions; make recommendations based on impacts and prioritization that leads to improvement of servicing opportunities. Collaborate effectively throughout process, concluding with stakeholder approval
  • Design creative templates, visual representations (logos), graphics and SharePoint sites for clients; also create and format executive communications including presentations, emails, reports, newsletters and more
  • Develop and update existing web solutions to meet business needs
  • Measure, analyze and report on the communication strategies and their effectiveness using hit counts, views and feedback
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities across multiple disciplines

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Digital / Graphic designs skill
  • Strong verbal, writing, consulting and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment while adhering to strict process / quality standards and confidentiality
  • Discipline to work independently and within a cooperative team environment
  • Aptitude to communicate effectively with executives
  • The skill to work on multiple tasks and projects and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize work with little to no supervision
  • Aptitude to maintain focus on overall strategic vision
  • High competence in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator. Strengths with Microsoft SharePoint Designer

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Successful experience with meeting facilitation
  • Proactive problem solving that provides multiple solutions
  • SharePoint Server and Adobe Photoshop experience preferred
  • Relevant work experience in graphic design, internal / external communication or executive communication roles with preference on design focused roles or a combination of these
