Job Responsibilities:
- Understanding and implementing KYC standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures is crucial. This involves selecting team members, managing their performance, and promoting their overall development within the assigned team.
- Managing a team of KYC Operations Analysts and Reviewers on a daily basis, providing coaching and ongoing performance feedback.
- Analyzing daily and monthly metrics to track individual team members' performance over time, evaluating their performance, learning, and capabilities.
- Addressing any issues escalated by internal or external customers effectively.
- Identifying special training needs that could benefit team members, enhancing team efficiency and quality.
- Proactively highlighting potential issues to management.
- Driving process improvements and implementing necessary process changes.
- Identifying root causes, understanding connections and implications, and evaluating alternatives.
- Making effective and well-grounded decisions based on guidelines, policies, and insights.
- Creating an effective and efficient team through continuous communication, timely feedback, and appropriate supervisory practices.
- Being flexible to multitask and effectively manage priorities across the broader function.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Minimum Requirement of Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Financial Services industry with a demonstrated track-record of delivery and/or relevant experience in Compliance and KYC
- Proven track record of ongoing coaching, educating and directing a team.
- Experience with leading a new team with limited Subject Matter Expertise
- Outstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders at one time
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues and senior management
- Strong relationship building skills to influence/negotiate desired outcomes
- Ability to deep-dive and investigate issues to see a successful resolution. Experience with the build out and execution of a new team or procedures
- Ability to identify risks and issues and successfully navigate through to completion. Possess strong computer skills: Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Develop and lead a team that is responsive to dynamic organizational and operational changes
