As a CIB Custody Operations Director in the CICS APAC Risk team, you will spearhead operational risk management initiatives, partnering with the APAC OCM team to ensure alignment with the company's overarching strategy. Your role will be instrumental in fortifying our risk management framework and supporting the transformation of the Manila Custody Team.
Job Responsibilities
- SSpearhead operational risk management initiatives, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
- Partner with APAC OCM team for seamless integration of risk management practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to anticipate and mitigate operational risks.
- Leverage extensive experience in risk management to drive impactful change.
- Provide on-ground oversight of custody functions, focusing on risk management.
- Review process risks and suggest mitigation steps for the Manila support model.
- Transition team from reactive to proactive risk management approach.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen risk management practices and ensure compliance.
- Provide process leadership to CICS Risk team in India, aligning APAC strategies globally.
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management.
- Foster a risk-aware culture through training and awareness programs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging risks.
- Oversight of team charters, SOPs, and audit readiness.
- Follow JPMorgan's established processes and continually improve them.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required (business discipline preferred).
- Minimum 15 - 20 years in Financial Services industry, preferably in custody & fund services, markets, or prime brokerage space.
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and Outlook Express.

- Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
- Strategic thinker with proactive approach to risk management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

- Teamwork: Fosters collaboration among team members and teams.
