Equity Capital Markets
The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team advises, structures and executes a range of equity offerings for major corporations, governments and other clients as one global team. In addition to providing advice to clients on raising straight equity financing, we also focus on issuing hybrid securities such as convertible bonds and exchangeable bonds etc. The Equity Capital Markets team primarily provides advice on how best to structure deals and then works with the client to execute the transaction

As an Analyst within the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) group in the Investment Bank, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank and participate in the \"full cycle\" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations.
Job responsibilities
The Analyst responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Participate in the origination and execution of Equity Capital Markets transactions primarily in Greater China, including initial public offerings and follow-on equity offerings
- Work as a key team member to identify Equity Capital Markets business opportunities and trends
- Conduct investors targeting, equity markets conditions, timing consideration and offering size analysis in addition to organization of marketing events
- Compile pitch presentations for clients in different sectors offering the best advice regarding Equity Capital Markets products and solutions
- Coordination efforts with external professional parties and deal team members across J.P. Morgan, including investment banking coverage, equity syndicate and sales etc.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Chinese and English
- Fulfilment of all necessary regulatory licenses (or any other licenses / qualifications as required) for carrying out securities and other regulated activities
- Prior working experience in an investment banking / Equity Capital Markets front office role
- Strong accounting, finance, business writing and analytical skills
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
- Strong attention to details with commitment to accurate and high quality work product
- Understands transaction cycle and is execution oriented
- Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals and peers, clients and key stakeholders in other lines of businesses
- Self-directed, highly motivated and able to work independently
