Lead the Global Marketing organization for the $18bn+ revenue Payments business at JPMorganChase, with teams and functions spanning product marketing, strategy & planning 360 degree, integrated marketing, partnerships and co-marketing, Martech and automation, analytics & business intelligence, marketing operations, and sales enablement (RFPs, presentations & proposals).
We are seeking a strategic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for our Payments organization. This critical leadership position will bring together and shape the future of marketing across Treasury Services, Trade & Working Capital, Merchant Services, Embedded Finance & Solutions and Kinexys.
As the CMO, Payments you will drive the growth of the Payments organization, overseeing a sizeable team and marketing budget to develop and implement global marketing strategies that boost business revenue, enhance client engagement, and foster loyalty. A profound understanding of client needs, both current and future, is essential. We seek a strategic leader who is attuned to market trends, passionately client-focused, and eager to explore new frontiers. With a fervor for marketing, financial services, and technology, you must be data-driven and adept at navigating the rapidly evolving technological landscape. Partnership and collaboration are crucial as you manage a comprehensive marketing organization. You will be expected to influence outcomes across a highly matrixed global organization. Key responsibilities
- Act as a commercial marketing leader with a P&L oriented mindset, partnering closely with and representing Marketing, as a key member of the global Payments Operating Committee.
- Spearhead a marketing function that is focused primarily on growing the Payments business and driving innovation, doing so in a digitally and data oriented way.
- Propel growth through targeted acquisition, engagement and deepening marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives that increase revenue, profit and market share
- Elevate the JPMorgan Payments brand on a global scale, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all markets.
- Strategically manage owned channels and paid media investments to maximize reach, engagement, and return on investment.
- Leverage market research and client insights to identify opportunities, challenges, and the competitive landscape, providing actionable insights to inform strategy.
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies into marketing strategies.
- Optimize marketing and resource investments to ensure key capabilities are unmatched, efficient, and well-positioned to adapt to changing market dynamics.
- Drive positive outcomes for the Payments organization alongside global Product leaders (Treasury Services, Trade & Working Capital, Merchant Services, Embedded Finance & Solutions and Kinexys) in addition to the Digital & Design (D&D) teams for Payments - challenging, creating and pushing new ideas whilst working seamlessly with all Product and D&D leaders.
- Work closely with the global Sales teams (Corporates and Financial Institutions) for the Payments organization, playing a pivotal role in sales enablement and commercialization activities.
- Collaborate with the broader marketing, technology and operations teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts across the organization.
- Lead a globally diverse team of marketing professionals that currently includes a number of senior marketing leaders. Develop, lead, manage and inspire the team to ensure a "best in class" marketing team.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Strong track record in driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives through strategic marketing initiatives, including acquisition, engagement and deepening marketing and sales enablement.
- A proven marketing innovator with tangible examples to back this up. Effectively led an industry as a result of innovative thinking/new ideas/creativity.
- Prior experience within a global organization, particularly in financial services, technology, or related industries, with a focus on marketing strategies
- Proven ability to lead and influence across complex, global, matrix organizations, fostering collaboration and building trust with peers and senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business and market dynamics, including financial performance and the competitive landscape.
- Executive-level experience leading global teams and transformative initiatives, preferably in the data-driven marketing domain.
- Exceptional leadership skills, capable of attracting, inspiring, and developing diverse talent across regions, while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Expertise in data analytics, with past experience leading data-focused teams and making informed data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying key messages across various organizational levels.
