As a Vice President in the Client reporting and Analysis Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Commercial and Investment Banking business. You will engage in supporting day-to-day business objectives and shaping the strategic vision of the business. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders and senior business leaders, manage critical deliverables in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to the client reporting agenda. Job responsibilities
- Support the continued build of reporting and technology infrastructure for Client analytics
- Partner with the CIB lines of business leads, Strategy and other stakeholder to enhance and deliver on a comprehensive suite of client reporting, including cross line of business reporting to support firmwide initiatives
- Collaborate with lines of business counterparts and other SMEs to support adhoc client deep dives and other queries on profitability metrics for the clients
- Engage with the senior leadership and with the businesses to understand the key business objectives and translate those into concrete programs and deliverables.
- Prepare and present profitability analysis and proforma impact to the front office and other key stakeholders to enable them to take strategic decisions on future direction
- Own end to end implementation of projects that enhance functionality and reporting provided by existing internal reporting platform, Wholesales Client Profitability (WCP)
- Work closely with business users to facilitate sign-off around final implementation of any changes to the data structure in WCP
- Implement appropriate governance & controls around the WCP data to ensure accuracy and adequate business logic documentation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years professional experience in handling large amount of data
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
- Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis, and presentation of financials
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
- Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
- Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Analyzing P&L and balance sheet drivers preferred
- SQL & Tableau preferred
- Previous experience in a Business Management / client analytics / Strategy role in banking or financial services strongly preferred
- Experience with data modeling and visualization tools
