Booking Model Controller - Strategic Projects, Vice President

Job summary:
As a Vice President in the Booking Model Controller Team, you will lead strategic projects that transform our operations and retire legacy systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Booking Model and Product Controllers, Business Control Managers (BCM), Corporate Technology, and the Program Management Organization (PMO), to make a meaningful impact in the documentation of booking models. This role offers leadership opportunities and the chance to work in a dynamic, matrix environment where your contributions are valued and recognized.

Job responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the Line of Business (LOB) onboarding workstream in the creation of our new strategic booking model documentation tool, LE Nexus. Within this project, you will work closely with the LOBs to gather and assess their requirements and provide direction on the migration of their activity from the legacy system to LE Nexus within the designated timelines.
  • Partner with BCM to deliver on a strategic regulatory request. This high profile initiative involves understanding and articulating the updates required in the LE Nexus tool, communicating and engaging with LOBs, and presenting the findings.
  • Drive and deliver enhancements in the booking model documentation processes and controls.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with PMO, Technology, BCM, LOBs, and other functions.
  • Prepare and present materials to senior management.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests as needed.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Control, Business Management, or Regulatory Reporting.
  • Deep understanding of balance sheet, P&L, risk, and accounting concepts.
  • Familiarity with financial products, including derivatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage executive audiences.
  • A detail-oriented, creative self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of JIRA is a plus.
  • Experience in leading innovative projects and driving change.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
