As an Associate within Global Government Relations, you will help in advancing our business interests and supporting communities where we operate. This is an opportunity to influence policy, collaborate with senior leaders, and represent the firm both internally and externally. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to making a positive impact through strategic advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor EU and UK political, policy, and regulatory developments that impact the business
- Provide senior leadership and lines of business with timely and concise information about emerging political, policy, and regulatory issues, and help develop the firm's position
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies on policy, legislative, and regulatory proposals in line with the firm's interests
- Build and maintain a strong internal and external network of stakeholders to gather intelligence and assist in developing advocacy strategies
- Represent the firm at meetings with government officials and other external stakeholders
- Contribute to the work of trade associations and liaise with counterparts at other firms to determine agreed positions and leverage collective resources for advocacy
- Prepare presentations and internal briefings for senior management, lines of business, and management committees

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex policy issues concisely
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization
- Integrity and a commitment to operate with the highest ethical standards
- Familiarity with EU, UK, and EU Member States political processes, as well as other international institutions and regulatory bodies
- Comfortable working under pressure with competing projects in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Advanced degree in public policy, law, international relations, or related field
- Experience working in government, regulatory affairs, or a similar advocacy role
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful advocacy strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Multilingual proficiency
- Familiarity with financial services industry
