The Product Owner (VP) for the Global Authorities Program will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that ensure the firm's compliance with global regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet both business and regulatory needs. The Product Owner will act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, technology teams, and senior management, driving the program's success and continuous improvement.

The Global Authorities Program is responsible for ensuring the firm's compliance with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, enabling secure and efficient business operations worldwide. The program partners with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that support regulatory engagement and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Vision
    • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the Global Authorities Program, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value, risk, and regulatory deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Engage with global stakeholders, including Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Technology, to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities regarding product-related matters.
  • Backlog Management
    • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization and timely delivery of features.
    • Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
  • Delivery Oversight
    • Collaborate with Agile development teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
    • Monitor progress, resolve impediments, and ensure that deliverables meet business and regulatory standards.
  • Risk & Compliance
    • Stay abreast of global regulatory changes and assess their impact on the product.
    • Ensure all product deliverables comply with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Performance & Reporting
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and program milestones to senior management.
    • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in product owner, product management, program management, or related roles within financial services or a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory environments and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
