Job Summary

As a Portfolio Analyst within J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will be responsible for providing portfolio managers with strategic ad-hoc analysis necessary to manage the fund and assist with building and maintaining iterative tools used by management to make sector allocation, capital structure, liquidity, and strategic business decisions through fund modeling.

Job Requirements:

  • - Prepare sensitivities and stress analysis based on capital flows, transactions, and other assumptions.
    - Build and maintain dynamic models for portfolio management decision making for both Real Estate and Mezzanine Debt Funds.
    - Manage liquidity models, including base and stress cases.
    - Assist with presentation of results at monthly oversight meetings with senior management.
    - Perform analysis of development budget forecasting and project asset allocations as projects near completion.
    - Develop reporting to manage both time and monetary budgets for asset classes.
    - Work closely with management on quarterly and regional platform level reporting, benchmark comparisons, and team member asset performance reviews for hold sale analysis.
    - Respond clearly to upper management and client inquiries.
    - Perform performance attribution to derive the causes and promoters of performance for investments.
    - Prepare write-ups of performance factors.
    - Revise the heading to 'Job responsibilities'.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Demonstrated excel modelling and strong analytical skills
  • Exhibit knowledge of accounting and performance calculations
  • Candidate must have demonstrated strong excel and analytical skills, as well as an ability to translate data into trends and present in a logical visual fashion.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Project oriented with demonstrated time management and ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Real estate specific experience preferred
