Job Summary:

As a Product Specialist supporting Customized Managed Account Solutions, you will help drive key project initiatives impacting our strategic roadmap supporting our retail separately managed accounts (SMA) and Model Portfolio business. Working in direct collaboration with cross-functional partners including technology, operations, client service, investment, and control partners, you will define and oversee the implementation of technology requirements and end-to-end operating model development enabling key initiatives to improve scale and quality, enable innovative new product development and enhance the client experience to drive and support continued business growth.

Job responsibilities:

  • Partner with business colleagues and subject matter experts to develop a deep understanding of the SMA and Model Portfolio business including services and products offered, our technology architecture, and existing operating models and control processes
  • Conduct product discovery workshops and document current and proposed operating model flows to define requirements for technology implementation and process re-engineering.
  • Work with developers and UX designers in refining features and initiatives, including the definition of clear acceptance criteria and user validation
  • Partner with key users across investment, operations and client service teams as well as control partners in legal and compliance to ensure adoption and alignment of the operating model that supports key technology development and enhancements
  • Escalate and drive the resolution of key business decisions required to resolve roadblocks in operating model design to support the business
  • Support prioritizing the backlog to ensure technology evolvement beyond most viable product (MVP) requirements

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with frequently used tools in software product development such as Jira is a plus
  • Expertise in workflow documentation (Visio) and PowerPoint
  • Strong collaborator who can reconcile different user needs and priorities and work with a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with ability to deliver messages clearly and succinctly
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and re-prioritize quickly

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • 5-7 years' experience with product or project management roles
  • Experience in Asset or Wealth Management, knowledge of retail SMAs a plus
  • Strong interest in technology and how technology can drive efficient processes
  • Prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, and possess strong attention to detail
  • Work independently, possessing energy and confidence to complete strategic initiatives with limited supervision
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze, synthesize and interpret information
  • Work successfully and efficiently in a team-based environment
