Role Summary

As an Asset Management - Municipal Trader Associate within the Global Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (GFICC) Trading Team, you will execute trades on behalf of our clients, primarily focusing on U.S. municipal securities. You will employ fundamental, technical, and relative valuation analysis to form market perspectives, adhere to internal trading policies, and generate trade ideas. Furthermore, you will cultivate and sustain broker relationships, evaluate broker performance, and showcase our trading expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executing primarily U.S. municipal securities - tax-exempt and taxable.
  • Overlaying fundamental, technical and relative valuation analysis to develop market views.
  • Adhering to all internal trading policies and procedures.
  • Presenting trade ideas, communicating market flows and color insights to our investment teams.
  • Build broker relationships and participating in broker performance reviews.
  • Presenting trading capabilities to current and prospective clients.
  • Representing Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities trading to both internal and external constituents.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to present findings.
  • Ability to build and foster relationships both internally and externally
  • Highly motivate and proactive individual capable of working independently and taking initiative

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fixed income trading
  • Preferred degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math
  • Strong technology skills proficiency in Tradeweb, Bloomberg, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Coding abilities (Python and/or other languages) and interest in apply AI to increase efficiency
