Position: VSI Power Infrastructure Engineer

In this role, you'll design platforms, servers, and technologies that enable us to serve customers, clients, and businesses worldwide. You'll oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and support of robust IBM Power infrastructure, ensuring continuous system tuning and analysis. Your experience in designing tailored solutions will help you understand project requirements, test infrastructure performance, and verify successful outcomes. Beyond traditional IBM Power Infrastructure skills, you'll bring expertise in software and hardware-driven technology, utilizing best practices and embracing new ideas to manage the IBM Power infrastructure effectively.

Enter in Qualifications Section:

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the software developement lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery.
  • Advanced knowledge of Unix Shell scripts, Python, Ansible automation etc.,
  • Experience in handling IBM Power hardwares and related products
  • Expertise in AIX Operating System Maintenance.
  • Expertise in PowerVM, VIOS, Power Firmware and HMC Maintenance.
  • Expertise in GPFS Maintenance.
  • Systems Management agents/tools Maintenance and testing.
  • Familiarity with open-source development model of project coordination and related tools, for bug tracking and source code control.
  • Knowledge of security related technologies, as pertains to system lockdown, Cyber protection and authentication/entitlement/encryption technologies.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
  • Strong quality assurance & system and performance testing experience.
  • Technical writing & documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals.
  • Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages
