As a Senior Associate on the Screening team, you will leverage prior credit training, client management and previous experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Affordable multifamily loans to pre-screen the creditworthiness of clients, properties, and markets and assist Bankers with getting new loans under application.

Job Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced preliminary underwriting skills and knowledge of Fannie Mae MAH and Freddie Mac TAH underwriting guidelines and pricing, to independently size loans and author concise, thoughtful analysis of transactions using appropriate structure while identifying key risks at the pre-application stage
- Work proactively with Banking team to ensure timely quotes and terms are delivered to the client
- Work with internal and external cohorts to ensure efficient and quick progression of deal intake through application
- Analyze due diligence documents and develop comprehensive understanding of collateral, cash flow, sponsor, and market risks for quote submissions prior to loan application
- Work through complex transactions including portfolios and Forward transactions
- Contribute to platform infrastructure and processes through special projects
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- BS or advanced degree with business focus
- Minimum of three plus years experience in commercial real estate which might include pre-application screening experience and GSE quote submissions
- Strong CRE Affordable Multifamily knowledge
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac systems and applications
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
Experience in using CLOSER (Commercial Loan Origination Securitization Enterprise Reporting) system
