The Acquiring Data & Analytics Platform Product Associate is responsible for executing big data analytics projects in response to product innovation for Merchant Services. Tangible output of the programs typically are product insights that drive optimization of payments, funding, reporting channels, servicing, boarding, disputes, and network integrations. As the analytics mature, these insights can be productized into data insights products ("insights as a service"). The right candidate for this position is highly proficient with complex data sets, using modern statistical and data exploration as well as visualization techniques (especially SQL on Snowflake, Tableau, Python, and Alteryx). The role will require working on multiple projects simultaneously. Beyond excellent analytical skills, the ideal candidate will be innovative, commercially inclined to create genuine business value through the alignment of technology, data and business interests. Ideal for high caliber analytics talent with a strong affinity for payments innovation and big data technology affinity.
Job responsibilities
- Supports the development of our product strategy and roadmap
- Collects and analyzes metrics on product performance to inform decision-making
- Contributes to solution discovery through collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify potential solutions that address user needs and align with business goals
- Participates in product planning sessions, contributes ideas and insights, and assists in the execution of product initiatives, ensuring timely and successful product launches
- Collaborates with the product manager to engage stakeholders and define user workflows, requirements, stories, and customer value
- Drive and own end-to-end process, understanding the data requirements and leveraging analytical tools to deliver solutions
- Develop strategy to integrate complementary data products
- Collaborate across many cross-functional groups (e.g., analytics, technology, data, risk, compliance, legal) to define business needs and identify effective solutions
- Develop innovative solutions and review output to measure KPIs
- Develop ways to leverage data assets to improve overall client experience and satisfaction
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management, project management, or a relevant domain area
- Developing knowledge level of the product development life cycle
- Exposure to product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
- Emerging knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field of study; Advance Degree preferred
- Expertise in data mining (SQL, Snowflake, Python) - candidate needs to have the ability to analyze data
- Data Visualization (Tableau, Quicksight, Power BI, ThoughtSpot)
- Expertise in leading end to end product development
- Understanding of application development process; prior programming experience preferred
- Experience in the payments industry and/or technology-enabled industries
- Experience in agile methodologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work across functions as well as with outside parties to ensure alignment and timely implementation of initiatives
