To support our industry-leading pipeline, Discovery, Product Development & Supply (DPDS) is growing our large molecule proteins supply network through the construction of a brand-new API pilot plant in Malvern. At the same time, significant investments are made in Spring House to develop the next generation of cell therapy manufacturing. Both sites are on the deployment schedule of Transcend for 2026. Transcend is a global end to end (E2E) business transformation program that must modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into a standardized SAP platform for growth, agility, and efficiency gains. Driven by Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, this program is of critical importance to R&D, as R&D's labs, pilot plants and Clinical Supply Chain heavily rely on SAP.

To drive and support the integration of the planning, sourcing, logistics, and quality release processes of the expanded supply network, the Clinical Supply Chain - Digital Solutions organization is looking for a Clinical Supply Chain Systems Specialist. In this newly crafted role, you will be driving the implementation and support of supply chain solutions and programs like OMP and SAP/Transcend, working in close collaboration with the leadership of the pilot plants in TDS - Therapeutics Development & Supply, the functional leaders in Clinical Supply Chain for planning and logistics, the Product Quality Management (PQM) organization, owners of the manufacturing systems on site, the Transcend team and our partners in Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT).

The incumbent must be driven by people, process and technology, and digitally savvy.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of planning (OMP), sourcing, logistics and quality release processes in SAP.
  • Represent large molecule and cell & gene experimental and clinical manufacturing in the design and implementation of future-state capabilities in Transcend, drive simplification, harmonization and standardization of processes with Supply Chain, yet ensure unique R&D needs are met.
  • Act as business owner for the implementation of Transcend in the pilot plants.
  • Identify impact to the local R&D IT ecosystem, work with business and IT owners of such platforms to ensure a seamless integration with Transcend.
  • Drive adoption and business value realization of systems and data.
  • Act as local business owner of systems in scope, ensure local validation requirements are met.


Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biology or Information Technology is required.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent certification is an asset.
  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification is an asset.



Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Life Sciences in implementation or advanced use of SAP (R&D or commercial) in planning, sourcing of materials, logistics, quality and relevant R&D finance processes is required.
  • Interpersonal and project management skills, capable of balancing multiple projects with effective partner management is required.
  • Ability to work in a creative and innovative development organization, that requires short timelines and high flexibility is required.
  • Experience in GxP, data integrity and system/tools validation approach is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills are required.
  • Global, end-to-end attitude is required.



Preferred:

  • Experience in MAKE (manufacturing of drug substance, drug product and clinical supplies) is an advantage.
  • Experience in clinical trials is preferred.
  • Experience in JIRA and related toolset is preferred.



Other:

  • Experience in data management is desirable.
