Position Summary

J. J. Keller is seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing our virtual desktop environment, including system development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support.

Ideal candidates will be located in the Neenah, WI area and have the ability to periodically work on-site at our headquarters.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing virtualization technologies across the organization. You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure our virtual infrastructure is secure, scalable, and high-performing.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage virtual desktop environment (VMWare, Microsoft)
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization, including VM provisioning, migration, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and optimize performance of virtual machines and host systems.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Operations, and Security teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain documentation of system and storage configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure data security and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for storage-related incidents and service requests
• May manage vendor activities.
• Provides leadership and direction for other team members on projects.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in computer or technology-related field
• In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, may consider Associate's Degree plus 2 additional years of related experience.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure in a technician or administrator role.
• 1+ year of experience in a Horizon VMWare environment.

• Demonstrated project management and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with technology and vendors as required.
• Ability to research technology related topics and communicate recommendations to other technical staff members.
• Ability to work constructively within a team environment to identify and resolve issues impacting productivity. 

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
