Job Profile Title: Sr. Product Engineering Manager/M05

Location/Division Specific Information - Austin, TX

How will you make an impact? -

Jabil is seeking a Senior Product Engineering Manager, who will directly contribute to the transformative growth within our Wireline and Networking division. You will be responsible for influencing the technical direction of your programs by engaging with design and engineering teams. You will also be responsible for collaborating with architecture, product management, program management, manufacturing, test and quality teams to ensure your products meet the rigorous standards Jabil has set for our customers.

What will you do? -

• Manage the technical direction of a project through the lens of the customer, factory, and design engineering teams

. Function as a bridge between external customers and Jabil design teams

. Function as a bridge between internal product teams and Jabil design teams

• Responsible for ensuring the delivery of lifecycle management for networking products covering both new development and sustaining

• Will drive solutions cross-functionally within various areas of technical expertise including hardware and software

• Empowered to make key decisions with respect to quality and features that may impact customer experience

• Must understand how technical decisions impact the broader business and work side-by-side with business unit leaders to optimize investments

• Ensure products under development adhere to the features in the PRD

. Ability to manage RFQs and SOWs

• Own preventive actions so gaps in E2E process or capability are addressed long-term

How will you get here? -

Education:

• BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required

Experience:

  • Must have domain knowledge in networking hardware and software.
  • 12-15 years of experience in engineering product development is required
  • Experience in building relationships with both internal and external customers is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience directly managing an engineering team; managing remote, multi-national and geographically dispersed teams is required
  • Proficient experience and knowledge of managing RFQs and SOWs

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Exceptional product development and program management skills

• Experience in process development and process improvement

. Ability to multi-task across multiple customer opportunities

• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree is preferred
  • 15 + years' experience in Engineering Product Development and Customer Relationship building

  • Annual Compensation Range:

$142,500.00 - 199,500.00 - 256,500.00 USD/ Target Annua bonus: 25%
