Maintenance Technician I

SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, responsible for repair, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Be a creative and proactive contributor, focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, painting, and/or carpentry repairs on fixtures, equipment, and facility structures during the swing shift.
• Support installation, relocation, and reinstallation of new and existing equipment as directed.
• Maintain and repair production support systems, including air compressors, air dryers, and vacuum systems.
• Conduct basic engineering calculations for proposed equipment installations or modifications.
• Update and maintain mechanical prints and diagrams to reflect changes and improvements.
• Maintain air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems per manufacturer specifications.
• Provide timely proposals or recommendations for upgrades, replacements, or process improvements to the Facilities Supervisor or Manager.
• Keep accurate maintenance records for all assigned equipment and tasks.
• Perform routine troubleshooting and inspections to identify and document necessary maintenance actions.
• Follow all preventive maintenance instructions and document activities in the maintenance system.
• Adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA standards and internal safety programs.
• Comply with all company security and operational procedures during swing shift operations.
• Provide after-hours support during emergencies or as requested by management.
• Adhere to all company security and confidentiality policies.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in facilities or industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during swing shift hours.
• Flexibility to support overtime or weekend shifts when required
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for effective shift coverage.
• Prior experience in a swing shift or similar non-standard schedule role.
