JOB SUMMARY
General Objective
Performs internal activities for initial qualification, requalification of environmental and ESD control, provides support for product disposition, and supervises compliance with environmental control requirements in EPA (ESD Protected Area) areas, consistently ensuring the requirements of the Quality System.
Authority
Has the authority to request necessary corrective actions for any situation that compromises the requirements described in the internal Quality System documentation or applicable regulations related to Environmental & ESD Control processes.
Responsibilities
- Support global training programs by developing and implementing specialized sessions related to Environmental & ESD Control.
- Guide and assist the environmental and ESD technician in designing visual aids and collecting key dimensional data for SPC analysis.
- Ensure processes comply with Deviation Authorization and track effective and expiration dates.
- Participate in action implementation and follow-up with work cell members.
- Coordinate and execute periodic ESD evaluations.
- Prepare validation protocols and reports for ESD and non-viable particles.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI/ESD S20.20 electrostatic control standards.
- Support production cells by executing ESD qualifications for accessories, fixtures, production lines, and installations at Jabil Baja.
- Conduct trend evaluations for environmental & ESD control compliance.
- Coordinate temperature and humidity mapping.
- Manage external vendors for annual certifications of non-viable particles in laminar flow hoods.
- Analyze differences between ESD requirements of new products and those established by Jabil Healthcare Baja.
- Coordinate calibration and validation of ESD measurement equipment.
- Monitor timely calibration of applicable equipment to avoid departmental impact.
- Collaborate on change evaluations that may affect validated status or require departmental activities.
- Conduct or coordinate environmental investigations when limits are exceeded and provide technical opinions.
- Provide support during environmental emergencies (night shifts or weekends).
- Perform experiments, process capability studies, or other technical evaluations to improve performance and quality.
- Support quotation activities related to Environmental Control.
- Assist QE or SQE in collecting Environmental & ESD Control data and follow up on corrective actions.
- Support all programs and initiatives related to Jabil's Code of Ethics, Values, and sustainability programs.
- Complete all training requirements per the Training Matrix, Quality Management System, and identified training needs, and attend all required sessions.
