EHS Specialist
Responsible for the support of the environmental health and safety infrastructure at the Jabil facility in Elmira, NY. This role will work to ensure the local facility EHS operations are in compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, as well as Corporate Jabil EHS Standards.

This Specialist position will work closely with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Shared responsibility with site Staff EHS Specialist and Regional EHS Manger for EHS performance at the site.
- Support Site Management in driving system-based ownership of EHS, where applicable, through the organization to create a safe and compliant EHS Culture through robust engagement of all personnel.
- Partner with site EHS resources and local management to develop and implement a site Corrective and Preventive Action Plan to address EHS program deficiencies and ensure EHS regulatory compliance.
- This individual will understand applicable Federal, State, and local EHS laws and regulations, standards, codes and guidelines and interpret requirements to affected groups.
- Support the development and achievement of EHS objectives for the site - auditing, analyzing, documenting, and reporting on their implementation and effectiveness to management via dashboards & reports.
- Monitor and evaluate EHS risks of operations, including change management, ensuring continuous improvement of the EHS program to make it leaner and more efficient.
- Provide site teams with ongoing consultation pertaining to environmental, health and safety regulations identifying the impacts of changes to regulations on key business objectives.
- Develop, implement, deliver and support EHS training strategy for the site, ensuring key risk and regulatory requirements are addressed for appropriate audiences, including new hires.
- Support and facilitate site EHS committees/teams to ensure implementation of the EHS program.
- Support local ISO certifications by ensuring site EHS management systems are aligned & maintained consistent with ISO and/or program standards.
Education:
- Bachelors in EHS or equivalent experience.
