Reporting to the Vice President of Enterprise Sales, the Assistant Vice President of Sales will focus on building and maintaining a high performing team of 5+ field sales reps. They will also be responsible for the creation and execution of key short and long term strategies for their team. Working extensively with sales and cross functional go to market leadership, they will be a key contributor to long term company vision. This role will involve heavy interaction with top prospects, partners, and clients and will involve on site travel 40-60% of the time.  

How you will make an impact: 

  • Drive new client bookings by hitting 90%+ of plan for acquisition of net new business 
  • Manage, develop, and coach field sales representatives to maximize their selling potential. Working to help unblock deals, refine pipeline and overcome obstacles in a timely manner  
  • Work with your reps and leaders on their long term career path through the InvoiceCloud sales career ladder 
  • Ensure the success of our newly signed customers by ensuring expectations and timelines for signing and go live with customer success and onboarding teams 
  • Drive process and forecasting best practices through coaching, accountability, and repeatability in sales engagement + pipeline conversion; drive 95%+ accuracy on rep commitments and 80%+ accuracy on forecasts. 
  • Regularly work with the broader team of Assistant Vice Presidents and leadership to ensure your team has a fair and appropriate amount of pipeline to close business within a given territory/partner grouping 
  • Active participant/leader of InvoiceCloud helping attract, develop, retain, and engage top talent 
  • Ensure your team maintains selling, company, and industry knowledge and best practices through 1x1 coaching, accountability to attend trainings, and through sharing of best practices in tools like Gong, Mindtickle, etc. 
  • Work with your quota carrying reps to ensure there is a “path to quota attainment” for every rep each quarter. Help fill gaps in coaching or pipeline when needed.  

 

Who you are: 

  • Experienced sales professional with expertise in payments, government, and utilities 
  • Team player who shares their experiences, expertise and learnings to help drive broader team success. 
  • Some direct management experience and  extensive quota carrying experience 
  • Familiar with complex and highly customized enterprise sales on longer sales cycles 
  • Proficient in tools like Salesforce and Gong with ability to update, prioritize and maintain strong process and data hygiene  
  • Collaborative leader with a proven ability to develop and retain sales talent 
  • Ability to work autonomously, and deliver high quality outputs while moving quickly 
  • A clear and transparent communicator who places high value on predictability, accountability, and data driven decision making
