Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The primary function of the Senior Preventive Maintenance & Calibration Coordinator is to coordinate all PMC activities, coordinate the calibration of equipment utilizing outside services, assess failure modes of semi-automated and automated test equipment, perform equipment calibration and complete on-site preventive maintenance of equipment through-out ISO facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Senior Preventive Maintenance & Calibration Coordinator works independently to implement Intuitive’s PMC program. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinates Preventive Maintenance & Calibration (PMC) activities for the specific site
  • Compiles monthly planning and schedules inhouse technicians to perform maintenance and calibration activities.
  • Schedules 3rd party vendors to perform maintenance and calibration activities as applicable.
  • Maintains PMC database and generates monthly PM and Calibration reports.
  • Issues asset numbers for new or duplicate tooling & fixtures
  • Manages Equipment Events (EEs) in SAP, ensuring satisfactory and immediate response to repair and/or escalate.
  • Performs on-site preventive maintenance & calibration activities on EFTs (Equipment, Fixtures and Tools)
  • Performs assessment and supports troubleshooting of equipment not performing per equipment specifications.
  • Identifies out-of-tolerance results and takes corrective action. Participation in investigations in case of deviations.
  • Responsible for ECO implementation in regard to fixtures and tools (i.e., taking obsolete fixtures out of service)
  • Maintains calibration certificates and user manuals.
  • Assists and/or performs Initial / Operational qualification and validation activities on Equipment, Fixtures and Tools
  • Develops and maintains spare parts inventory.
  • Develops and maintains replicate fixture/tooling list.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation and records of PMC activities. Documents test results using paper and electronic means (Word, Excel, SAP).
  • Reports quality issues to the next level
  • Follows all corporate, safety and production procedures and regulations.
  • Performs any other projects or duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Electricians, mechatronics engineers, measurement, and control technicians with a Certified Technician degree
  • Additional certified training as test equipment construction commissioner preferable
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing; ideally experience in regulated areas.
  • Proficient in SAP PMC Module (establishment of Work Orders, notification, Activation & Inactivation, and Results recording)
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills. Broad experience in troubleshooting and resolving anomalies in Equipment, Fixtures, and Tools.
  • Independent commissioning and supervision of calibration services
  • Previous experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or similar QMS a plus
  • Good understanding of Quality Control, Inspection, Metrology, PMC, and GMP
  • Sound understanding of all phases of the product development process, including prototype assembly, test, debug, transfer, and sustaining.
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Great attitude, eager, willing/able to take initiative, works well with others in team environment.
  • Broad experience with measurement tools: dial calipers, micrometers, force gauges, Instron and other materials testing equipment
  • Experience with FMEA
  • Experience with initial sample inspection report (ISIR)
  • Deep working knowledge of electronics and mechanical concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and secure handling of the company's internal IT systems; experience with SAP
  • Good knowledge on written and verbal communication skills in Bulgarian and English
