Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Procurement Supervisor to oversee and lead our procurement team. This role involves providing exceptional customer support, managing purchasing buyer activities, and handling supplier onboarding activities and resources. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of procurement processes, and the ability to deliver top-notch customer service.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary customer service to internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to procurement processes.
  • Manage procurement team members, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Allocate resources effectively, prioritizing tasks and assignments to meet procurement objectives and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and offer effective solutions.
  • Create purchase requisition on behalf of the requesters as well as supervise and coordinate purchasing activities carried out by the procurement team. Ensure required documents and agreements are obtained and in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Perform effective root cause analysis and issue resolution when supplier on-boarding or purchase requisition approval delay occurs.
  • Execute duties with minimal guidance and show strong initiative on process improvement and documentation practices.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate procurement team performance.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement activities, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management, implementing strategies to enhance procurement processes and achieve KPI targets.
  • Work with senior leadership and internal peer groups on continuous improvement projects targeted at enhancing the user and supplier experience.

Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

 

  • Leadership abilities with experience in supervising or managing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in procurement, with a focus on customer support and managing purchasing buyer activities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of indirect procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and highly self-motivated.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
