Job Description
Primary Function of Position
Provides operational and administrative support for company safety and environmental programs and policies. Carries out basic inspections and tests of safety and workplace hazard monitoring equipment and systems; records and escalates anomalies, hazards and issues for resolution. Assists in Emergency Response Team (ERT) and employee training; maintains safety records, manuals and documentation in accordance with established procedures. Supports ongoing safety surveys and investigations of incidents, accidents, and emergencies as well environmental topics.
Essential Job Duties
Ergonomic evaluations support to identify hazards and evaluate the level of risk, follow up of the recommendations for resolution.
- Analyzes accident/incident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and Job Safety analyses.
- Develops safety program to achieve established safety goals and objectives.
- Assists department supervisors in developing and promoting safety awareness and safety communication throughout Manufacturing Operations.
- Support and follow up of supervisory and employee safety training programs and record keeping.
- Ensures the Company is in compliance with OSHA and Mexican regulations and institutions such as: STPS, SEMARNAT, SSA, SPABC, Firefighter department, protection civil.
- Bring support in administrate the safety shoes, safety glasses, first aid, and other safety related programs.
- Assists in providing information for monthly department safety crew meetings and online safety training.
- Follow up safety and environmental audits, incident, and accident investigations.
- Communicates safety and environmental information.
- Develops and updates all safety and emergency response procedures.
- Lead safety programs meeting (safety and health committee, Internal civil protection unit, emergency brigades).
- Support and follow up MOC process.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ Experience in Manufacturing
- Knowledgeable on safety legislation.
- Experience on performing Job safety analysis, equipment analysis.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
- Knowledge of 14001 and ISO 45001.
Required Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Human Kinetics, Kinesiology, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- English level 70%

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in applying ergonomic principles and providing ergonomic analyses in a manufacturing or academic setting.
