Job Description
Primary Function of the Position
Under direct supervision of the Production supervisor and having the support of the production leader, this position manufactures, evaluates and verifies that the assembly and packaging of instruments or accessories are carried out according to production orders and work instructions (MPI, IVI) achieving quality and manufacturing standards (hour per hour); to comply with the daily production plan.
Essential Job Duties
- Use Personal Protection Equipment
- Communicate unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor
- Participate in the Safety and Hygiene trainings that the company establishes
- Clean the workstation (5's) at the beginning and end of the shift
- Perform the callisthenic exercises at the beginning and during the shift at each scheduled break
- Participate in the rotation program of workstations to avoid ergonomic problems
- When assigned, Stock the gowning area of the Clean Environment Room (CER) with copings, cover mouths, beard covers, shoe covers and nitrile gloves
- Take the assigned trainings in your ISU Profile (Intuitive Surgical University), minimum 3 days before expiration
- Enter user signature in SAP system at the beginning and the end of the shift or at each workstation change and take care to introduce the shift and line correctly (applies for overtime too)
- Ensure that 95% of the time that is recorded in the payroll system is register in SAP in productive order when the technician is producing or in NON-productive order when the technicians is engaged in any activity other than assembly
- Carry out the assembly, test, or packaging operations of the assigned workstation
- Use Devices, accessories, tools, and equipment according to the process; verifying that they are in good conditions of use, and reporting to supervisor those that are in poor conditions for their repair
- Perform visual inspection of assemblies received and fabricated, in addition to the inspection of raw material of the workstation
- Separate damaged raw material by placing it in the corresponding container
- Verify that the work instructions (MPI, IVI) are in the workstation and if the review is according to the work order
- Report Change Over Technician or Production Leader missing raw materials in containers (bins)
- Comply with the standard (Hour per Hour) of the assigned assembly
- Perform raw material counting at your workstation at the beginning of the shift and at each change of production order
- Support other workstations to avoid the accumulation of materials (One Piece Flow)
- Separate potentially defective assemblies, PL's (Process Log)
- Comply with the Policies, Regulations and Code of Conduct of the Organization
- Develop performance self-assessment for the MERIT process
- Be responsible for submitting your permits/incidents in the payroll platform at least 1 day before the delivery of the pre-payroll.
- The technician should always communicate with the leader and/or supervisor when he/she needs to be off the production line for any reason.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
• Software: Microsoft Office, Computer skills
• Experience in the position or area: Experience in the Manufacturing industry, Experience in the medical industry (desirable)
• Knowledge / Skills:
Manual skill for assembling small parts
Visual acuity (worked in processes with visual inspection)
Teamwork (to work manufacturing flow cells)
Follow-up instructions
Experience working with EEP
• Other: Willing to repetitive work and work under fast-paced work environment
Availability to work on assigned shift.
